Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By creating an account or using Outmatched (outmatched.net), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the site. Outmatched is an independent, community-run tournament platform. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Psyonix LLC or Epic Games, Inc. Rocket League® is a registered trademark of Psyonix LLC.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use this service. By registering, you confirm you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you should have your parent or guardian's permission.

3. Accounts

• You are responsible for keeping your password secure.
• You may not create multiple accounts to circumvent bans or competitive restrictions.
• Each account may link only one Epic Games account. Sharing accounts is not permitted.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
• Account names, display names, and team names must not contain offensive, hateful, or prohibited language.

4. Tournament Rules

• Players must compete honestly. Match fixing, result manipulation, or using unauthorized substitutes is prohibited.
• All registered players must play under the Epic Games account linked to their Outmatched profile.
• Match results must be reported accurately. Submitting false results may result in disqualification and account suspension.
• Organizers have final authority over their tournaments, subject to admin oversight.
• Admin decisions on disputed matches are final.
• We reserve the right to disqualify any participant for unsportsmanlike conduct.

5. Conduct

You agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users.
• Use offensive, racist, sexist, or hateful language anywhere on the platform.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or our systems.
• Submit malicious content including scripts, injections, or harmful files.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity.
• Use the platform for any commercial purpose without our written permission.

Violations may result in immediate account suspension.

6. Content

You retain ownership of content you submit (profile images, team descriptions, etc.). By submitting content, you grant Outmatched a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display it on the platform. You confirm you have the right to submit any content you upload. We may remove any content that violates these terms without notice.

7. Intellectual Property

The Outmatched name, logo, and platform design are owned by Outmatched. Rocket League® and related marks are trademarks of Psyonix LLC. Use of those marks on this platform is purely descriptive and does not imply any affiliation or endorsement.

8. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

Outmatched is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, and we are not liable for any loss of data, tournament results, or prize opportunities resulting from outages or errors.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the platform shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (or $10 if you have not paid anything).

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the service ends immediately.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify registered users by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the platform after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the United States.
